Throughout this year, I have posted several tutorials on dynamips and dynagen. I have never really had a reason to try anything different, basically because dynagen just works. However, because of a request a few weeks ago, I branched out and tried GNS3.
GNS3 stands for Graphical Network Simulator. It is developed by a team of individuals from all over the world. I have to say, I was very impressed with my first run. Unlike other dynamips graphical front-ends, GNS3 just makes sense and it is strongly linked with dynagen. Anything you have learned about dynagen can be used with GNS3. Note: You will need your own IOS image to run GNS3.
